I do not like some local writers, journalists to be precise.
Especially the female ones, a few of them write in such a pretentious manner.
Maybe it's in women to be 'showy', dressing wise... and writing style.
I find Jeanmarie Tan annoying. She uses BIG words, and i always have to refer to the Collins (my trusty ol' paperback dictionary, which is probably the most referred to book in the household).
Mister Balakrishnan Padhmanabban, is former Senior Executive Editor (Head of Indian News Section) with the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) and Asst. Vice President (Head) of the only Indian radio station of then Radio Corporation of Singapore (RCS) and until recently, Programming Consultant to the CEO of RCS.
This same man with the Masters Degree in Communication Management from the University of South Australia who is formerly a Raffles Institution student and is NOW my Journalism Skills lecturer said to NOT USE BIG WORDS when writing. The writing should be easily understood by readers. Okay, point made. On to my next thought.
When i see Mario Vazquez, i think Dean. Only thing is, Dean is wayyyy better-looking, haha.
Wondering how the latter looks? Oh, he's one charming fella that will knock ur socks off. Wahaha.
He's been my eye candy since the first time i laid eyes on him. Mind you, it was a few years ago...
Anyway, the previous Sunday, he was seated in the same pew as i was. For the FIRST TIME IN MY ENTIRE CHURCH-GOING HISTORY! *chuckle* Think i got a bit too excited, cos' i started grinning away, and i tried hard to hide it. He was directly on my right. So near, yet so far.
After such a long while of not being on that side of church, and not seeing him around, he sits there 'with' me. Gee.
I regretted a lil not going to my usual place though. That way i could have admiring glances at him (tho' it'd be hard since my usual place was the last pew on the left side of the doorway and he was seated at the last too, on the right). Being next to me, i had to act so cool and collected and i couldn't look at him.
Nope, i didn't get to hold his hand during that part (no idea what it's called man!) of mass. Darn ey. Ha.
Hmm. But he'll just be that. Eye candy. He's like one of those unattainable items, nice to look at, but can't ever touch them. Ah well.
That ends my random comments of the day. Thank you for tuning in once again. *curtseys
